Sendero Sur is a regenerative retreat nestled into the Patagonian landscape — ten nature-focused cabins, a community activity lodge, a wetland observatory, and much more — where the wild breath of Patagonia softens into the warmth of shared connection.
Sendero Sur is nestled between the serene Gutiérrez and Mascardi Lakes of Patagonia Argentina. Beneath the towering Cerro Catedral Sur peaks. 30 minutes from Bariloche. The land is a living landscape — Coihue forests of cathedral proportions, a biodiverse wetland overflowing with life, majestic views over the awe-inspiring lakes, and peaks gazing from above like sentinels.
Our mission is to build an experience that unfolds uniquely inside and outside each landscape cabin and nature intervention along each trail, where the forest, the mountain, the sky, the wetland, and the lakes do the talking.
But we don't want to do this alone. Your support turns plans into landscape cabins and nature-focused experiences.
We are nestled in a unique ecosystem of Nahuel Huapi National Park conveniently accessible along the southern corridor of Route 40 — one of Patagonia's most storied highways & landscapes.
The land embodies everything that makes Patagonia special — rugged trails ascending the awe-inspiring Andes mountain range, the towering old-growth Coihue forest, the biodiversity of wetlands and the serene & clear lakes. Situated between Lake Gutiérrez and Lake Mascardi, and shielded by Cerro Catedral Sur, we're creating a special place where you don't just visit nature, you experience it.
Everything is being designed to respond uniquely to the features and qualities we found throughout Sendero Sur's 100 acres.

Trails · Observatory · Yôga · Sauna · Wild PlayWe knew from day one that the value of this property lay in shining a light on the gift of nature — not in maxing out the buildable square meters. So we designed a master plan that was well within the permitted land-use regulations for Nahuel Huapi National Park and Reserve. We've been working closely with environmental consultants, local architects specialized in regenerative architecture, and the National Park Rangers.
We walked every inch of the 100 acres (40 hectares) with our resident baquiano, Don Patricio, and our architects — listening to the story the landscape was sharing.
Ten landscape cabins — nine intimate units for 2–4 people each, and a Summit Refugio for groups of 10–25. A lodge that brings everyone together. And, a wildlife observatory overlooking the biodiverse wetland.
Each space allows the landscape and nature to tell its story about what's possible in Sendero Sur.

We share the process, the setbacks, the sunrises, and the decisions. Join us on Instagram for the real-time story of Sendero Sur.
We are in the planning and approval phase with architects and Park Rangers. Our target is to begin construction for the first cabins the first quarter of 2027. All backers will receive regular updates with honest timelines. Rewards are redeemable for 3 years from the confirmed opening date.
Unlike equity crowdfunding or donations, rewards-based crowdfunding means you contribute money in exchange for a specific future reward — in our case, stays and experiences at Sendero Sur. You are essentially pre-purchasing at a significant discount, while helping us fund construction.
Contributions are non-refundable, as they go directly into building the project. However, all rewards are fully transferable — you can gift or sell your stay credit to someone else at any time before redemption. In the unlikely event the project does not open, we will work with every backer individually on resolutions.
Tier 2 and above backers receive priority booking access, which means you get first choice of available cabins when you book your stay. Cabin preferences are not guaranteed but are honored as a priority.
Sendero Sur is located conveniently off Route 40, between Lake Gutiérrez and Lake Mascardi, 30 minutes south of Bariloche and the Bariloche international airport, in the province of Río Negro, Argentina. The access road is suitable for standard vehicles (2WD and 4WD).
All backers receive regular email updates from the team. For real-time documentation, we post on Instagram at @senderosur.bariloche — construction progress, site visits, design decisions, and the occasional sunrise.
